Eurostar Tips - Disneyland Paris

These are our absolute favourites. If you'd like to share your Disneyland® Paris tips with us, just click on "Submit top tip".

  1. Celebrate Christmas with Mickey and friends

From 8 November 2009 to 6 January 2010, enjoy all the fun of the festive season at Disneyland® Paris. At this special time of year you’ll enjoy a truly magical experience, marvelling at the giant Christmas tree and revelling beneath the snowflakes on Main Street. And it’s not just you who’ll be in a merry mood – all your favourite characters will be there too, dressed in their festive finery and ready to entertain you with a musical on-ice in Mickey’s Winter Wonderland.

  2. Lost in Space: Discoveryland

A futuristic world of space ventures and sci-fi at Discoveryland rotates budding astronauts 360° on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Belt up and test your driving skills at Autopia, a high-speed car track, and admire the secrets of the sea by submarine at Les Mystères du Nautilus. Put on your 3D glasses at Honey I Shrunk the Audience for a full-on shrinking experience.

  3. All together now: All the family

Grab hold of your Stetson and survive the runaway train at Big Thunder Mountain or escape the wicked Queen of Hearts in Alice's Curious Labyrinth. At Walt Disney Studios® Park, tear through the depths of the ocean aboard Crush's Coaster and star in a movie at Cinémagique then interact with everyone's favourite alien live from space in Stitch Live!. To see all the Disney characters at once, stake a post on Main Street USA and gasp as the Wonderful World of Disney parades before your eyes.

  4. After dark: Disney Village again

Whips crack and buffaloes charge in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Tuck into chilli and ribs while watching stagecoach attacks and cowboys and Indians tussle on horseback. If you've still got the energy, find a taste for line dancing at Billy Bob's Country & Western Saloon. Catch free concerts on Central Stage, from rock and country to pop and blues, while clubbers can stagger on until dawn to Brazilian beats at Hurricanes nightclub. For a quieter end to the day, watch a 3D film at IMAX.

  5. Easy access

Mickey Mouse is only a 35-minute RER train journey (Line A) from the centre of Paris to Marne-La-Vallée: leap on Eurostar to the French capital for a few days and take a day out from all the culture with Goofy and Sleeping Beauty. Last trains back to Paris leave Disneyland around midnight.

Your Tips - Disneyland Paris

These are your insider tips. If you'd like to share your Disneyland® Paris tips with us, just click on "Submit top tip".

  1. Costume party

If your child dresses up in the costume of a particular ride, you will not have to queue for it (e.g. as Dumbo for the Dumbo ride or Snow White for the Snow White ride). Can save lots of time during the busy seasons :-) Isabella

  2. A great fun day out!

The kids really, really wanted to go to Disneyland Paris, so we decided to take a day trip on the train from Ashford. We were in Fantasyland by lunchtime and were all nicely exhausted when we got back on the train home. A long day out but bags of fun and the kids just loved it! Tindley clan, Clapham, South London

  3. Height restrictions

Always check the minimum height and age requirements (they are clearly sign-posted) before queuing for the faster rides. We wasted 20 minutes queuing for Big Thunder Mountain and were politely told by the attendant that our daughter was too small to go on the ride. Barbara, Sevenoaks

  4. Trawl the web

Some restaurants in the parks close early in the evening so we checked all the opening hours in the Disney website before we left. That way you can plan day by day. When we wanted to eat later, we went to Disney Village; it's got lots of restaurants and a buzzy atmosphere after dark. Jim Mayall, Uxbridge

  5. Sleeping Beauty saves the day!

I was worried that we would get lost in Disneyland, but we could always see Sleeping Beauty's castle so we didn't. Gaynor, aged 10
